Passing
To die with your sweet memories
Is all I hope for now.
Everyday fading in and out,
I try to hold onto you fast,
Not letting the world consume me.
The world has started to grow desolate,
Until the end times there will be standstill.
And there are the anarchists,
And preachers of enlightenment,
The punishers and forewarners,
Making rules in no mans land.
They tell tales of destruction
To a raging generation.
Telling them, be stoic while raging like a madman!
And I see it all passing by.
You don't need to see this, my love.
This profane world has no place for us.
I grow quieter every moment,
With your remembrance.
Your sacred grace,
Like a drop in the desert.
Will it end like the old stories,
Like a man from Levant,
Qays was mad they said,
They say he was possessed.
Its only an ordinary woman.
Seems so silly.
Maybe I have come to accept it
That you'd never even remember me at all,
Or despise me and tell me to move on,
And I would not say anything.
Everything's fair.
It's all a game to you,
And I am the naive one.
The fool with delusions.
Yet, I still hold dear to me
My sacred love.
To die everyday in your remembrance,
Is all I have now.
